Combine Air Training
Combine Air Training in Sydney’s Rozelle features pressurised training rooms that simulate exercising at high altitudes, driven by a large plant that enables the exercise room to be maintained at the equivalent to 3,500 metres above sea level.
At this level of supercharged fitness technology – energy costs are significant. With an aim to reduce the gym’s overheads, as well as its carbon footprint, Combine Air Training tasked Solahart Sydney with finding a solution.
Making use of the gym’s large roof space, Solahart installed a 56.25kW PV system and 125x 450W Solahart SunCell Panels. To ensure the system was as powerful as possible, SolarEdge inverters and optimisers were installed to increase energy output, while their monitoring capabilities increased efficiency.
The impact on the gym’s power bills was just as impressive as the results Combine Air Gym sees in its clientele.
“Since the installation, we’re seeing savings of $13,000 a year in energy bills and reduced our energy consumption by 40 per cent. We’re also set to offset 66 tonnes of carbon emissions which we’re really proud of," says Peter Hickey, owner of Combine Air Training Rozelle.
“The fact that Solahart Sydney made this possible without interrupting our business operation is incredibly impressive. The team really set us up for success.”
