  • How it works

Unlike traditional heating systems, heat pumps transfer heat from the surrounding air into the pool water, using significantly less energy to produce heat. This makes it an economical choice for pool owners looking to reduce running costs, while also providing consistent and comfortable water temperatures all year round.

  • FAQ
    • How does a pool heat pump work?

A pool heat pump works by extracting heat from the surrounding air and transferring it into your pool water. Unlike traditional electric heaters that generate heat directly, heat pumps use energy-efficient technology to move heat, helping maintain comfortable swimming temperatures while using less electricity.

    • Are pool heat pumps energy efficient?

Yes. Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pumps feature inverter technology and high Coefficient of Performance (COP) ratings, delivering efficient operation and lower energy consumption compared to many traditional heating methods. Some models achieve COP ratings of up to 15.8 under optimal conditions.

    • Can I control my pool heat pump remotely?

Yes. Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pumps are Wi-Fi enabled and can be controlled through a compatible app, allowing you to adjust settings remotely for added convenience.

    • Are Solahart pool heat pumps noisy?

Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pumps are designed for low-noise operation, featuring advanced EC fan technology and inverter compressors that help minimise operating sound, making them suitable for residential environments.

    • Can a pool heat pump operate in cold weather?

Yes. Depending on the model, Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pumps can operate in ambient temperatures as low as -10°C, helping extend the swimming season even during cooler months.

    • What warranty is available on Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pumps?

The Solahart Compact Series is backed by a 3-year parts and labour warranty. The Parts Only warranty extends to 5 years on general parts, 10 years on the compressor and 25 years on the heat exchanger. Full warranty terms and conditions apply.

    • Can a Solahart pool heat pump heat and cool my pool?

Yes. Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pumps provide both heating and cooling functions, allowing you to maintain a comfortable pool temperature throughout the year, regardless of the season.

    • Can I use a Solahart pool heat pump with a spa?

Yes. The Solahart Compact Series is suitable for both pools and spas and includes high-temperature settings designed specifically for spa heating applications.

    • What size Solahart pool heat pump do I need?

The right pool heat pump size depends on factors such as your pool volume, location, desired water temperature and how often the pool is used. Solahart offers a range of models from 8.6kW to 35kW heating capacity to suit different pool sizes and requirements. Contact your local Solahart dealer for tailored sizing advice.

    • What refrigerant does the Solahart Compact Pool Heat Pump use?

The Solahart Compact Series uses R32 refrigerant, which has a lower global warming impact than many older refrigerants, making it a more environmentally conscious choice.

    • What is inverter technology in a pool heat pump?

Inverter technology allows the heat pump's compressor and fan speed to automatically adjust based on heating demand. This helps improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and maintain more stable pool temperatures.
