ProMinent Fluids Controls
Since 1976, ProMinent Fluids Controls has been a part of life for Northern Beaches backyard pool owners and aquatic centres; ensuring locals can safely enjoy a dip, thanks to carefully treated water.
However, in their 46th year of business, General Manager Nick Bohm noticed the sizeable impact of energy bills on the company’s bottom line.
Employing 75 people, ProMinent Fluids Controls manufactures products and systems for chemical dosing and water treatment within a 1,500-square-metre site. With rising energy costs, powering the facility was becoming increasingly costly.
Occupying the majority of the large Northern Beaches premises, ProMinent Fluids Controls had plenty of roof space to work with, but the leafy surrounds meant the area was partially shaded throughout the day.
To ensure maximum solar power was generated, Solahart installed SolarEdge inverters, which optimise energy production while providing monitoring capabilities for efficiency. The solution included a 74.5kW system comprising of 216 x 345W Q Cell panels, 2 x 27.6kW SolarEdge Inverters and 1 x 10kW SolarEdge Inverters.
Since the installation in 2019, ProMinent Fluids Controls has seen incredible results. The company’s solar system has cut 50 per cent of its annual electricity consumption, saving $27,000 and nine tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
